Oil Mutation Multiplier Grow a Garden Wiki

Oil is a brand-new mutation in Grow a Garden, added in the Kitchen Storm update, the second half of the Cooking Event.

Unlike some mutations, you don’t need a weather event to apply it to crops; instead, you’ll need a specific pet.

This pet, which can be obtained fairly easily, can apply the Oil mutation to nearby fruits.

However, it’s only available for a limited time, so only a few players will be able to get it in the game.

The Junkbot pet applies this mutation to nearby fruits in your garden.

You can get this pet by participating in the pre-update event — the Kitchen Storm and ALBERT ADMIN ABUSE event — held on August 9, 2025, at 6:30 PM.

This mutation also applies to crops during the admin-only Oil Rain event.

Players who joined the event early received the pet directly in their inventory.

Any crop affected by this mutation gains a x15 multiplier, greatly increasing its selling value.
