Namita was born on 21 March 1977 in Pune, Maharashtra, India. Her father Satish Mehta is the founder of Emcure Pharmaceuticals and her mother Bhavana Mehta.
She married Indian businessman Vikas Thapar and they have two sons Jai and Veer. Namita is currently the Executive Director of Emcure Pharmaceuticals.

Career
Namita comes from a Gujarati family and is the executive director of her father’s company Emcure Pharmaceuticals.
When she was studying in school, she was the topper in her class. After completing her MBA, she got the offer of Senior Manager from Guidant Corporation (Abbott).
Leaving her job in 2007, she joined Emcure Pharmaceuticals Limited as Executive Director. In 2016, she founded the Young Entrepreneurs Academy.
She appeared in Shark Tank India Season 1, released in 2021. Because of this show, Namita was able to gain followers.
In 2022, Namita appeared in The Kapil Sharma Show and In December 2022, she posted a photo on Instagram with Amitabh Bachchan in the KBC show.
